Internet Gangsters….What you gonna do, buss a CAPS LOCK in my ass???

The last half of the naughties saw a lot of growing trends; availability of Broadband on a large scale, online video growth went through the roof, connecting to friends/acquantances became easier and the gap between an unreachable celeb to the common folk decreased due to the likes of MySpace & Facebook.  However with the good, always comes the bad – and they can trend too! One in particular has been the rise of the Internet Gangster.
Urban Dictionary describes these “hoodlums” as: “One who uses the internet as a front for …

Your network determines your net worth.

I have worked in music and online for over 10 years now and I used to think that it was just this industry where it was not based on talent alone to break in. However over the years I realised it’s every industry. It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.
One of the reasons social networks have become so powerful is because people are becoming famous overnight. Unless you were already a celeb, the 1 thing in common people who became famous all had were powerful communities ie, …

Ricky Hatton, Tactics & Flexibility!!!!

Monday, May 4, 2009 in Leverage, Real Talk, Sport

“When the only tool you have is a hammer, it is tempting to treat everything as if it were a nail.”

Freddie Roach, Manny Pacquiao’s trainer, said after the fight that they knew Ricky Hatton’s tactics before they …

Yet again, the power of Social Media is becoming more and more important in the direction of music. Watch the video above with rapper Fabolous talking about how he changed direction with his new project based on Twitter. I like seeing or hearing an artist who listens to his fans and then acts upon it. Whats good about twitter is that it gives any artist (or anyone with talent) leverage to take feedback to their record label. If …

“What are you asking, if I don’t have the answer/it’s probably on the web, like I’m a damn tarantula”.

Sometimes the simple punchlines in hip-hop are the best and most informative.  Weezy sums up a lot in this quote about the Internet. With there being billions and billions of web pages online, 99% of things are covered.  In fact, it is harder to not find something. This means everything you want to know or become is potentially at your fingertips.
The key to finding your answer is the question you ask.
I have …

The Dark Knight was one of my favourite films of last year.  In fact, it was one of my favourite films in the last 5 years. Not only was the storyline excellent, but some of the scenes and script I thought was amazing & I personally took a lot from it.  All the characters were great, but Heath Ledger as the Joker (RIP), was exceptional.  (Almost as good as Kevin Spacey in The Usual Suspects…..almost).
You will probably read a lot of quotes from the Joker within my posts but this …
